Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is currently recruiting a passionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a well-established secondary special needs school school in Sale.
This full-time position is available on a temp-to-perm basis, offering an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and dynamic team, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4pm.
This friendly, welcoming and caring school caters for students aged 11-19 years who have special education needs and disabilities (SEND) like SLD, PMLD, autism and complex needs. All students have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). The school is a happy, safe and inclusive school and college where students and staff are valued and feel a sense of belonging.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential.
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude with a passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers and other professionals.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
This role will involve supporting students with a range of SEND in their learning and development, helping them to achieve their full potential within an inclusive environment.
