Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities? A growing, all-through special school in Hungerford is looking for a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children with autism diagnoses and a range of additional needs, providing consistent one-to-one support throughout the school day. You’ll help pupils with their emotional wellbeing, academic learning and, where occasionally required, personal care. Building positive relationships, providing reassurance and helping children to feel safe, confident and ready to learn will be a key part of the role. The school is looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, reliable and passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of children with SEND. Previous experience supporting children with autism, SEND or additional needs would be highly beneficial, but having the right attitude and a genuine willingness to learn are equally important. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, paying £92.63 per day. The school is within walking distance of Hungerford train station, although being able to drive is useful given the location.
