Job Title: Special Needs Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking a patient, motivated and resilient SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Windsor, supporting children and young people aged 5–16 with a range of additional needs. The school provides tailored education and support for pupils with complex needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a specialist environment and is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and reach their individual potential. You will be working alongside teaching staff to provide tailored support both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The role will involve encouraging pupils to engage with classroom activities, supporting their communication and social development, and helping them navigate the school day. Some pupils may display challenging behaviours, so you will need to be confident, calm and consistent, with the ability to respond positively to different situations. Previous experience supporting children or adults with SEND is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who are patient, adaptable and resilient, and who can build positive relationships with pupils who may have difficulties communicating or regulating their emotions. A proactive approach and the ability to adapt your support to suit different individuals are key. Please note that personal care is not required as part of this role. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a daily rate of £92.63. If you have previous SEND experience and are looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity. We would love to hear from you, so apply today!
