SEND Teaching Assistant – Harrow Pay: £90–£100 per day Start: January 2026, Monday to Friday on-going An excellent secondary school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of complex needs. About the Role You will be supporting pupils with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), complex medical needs, and a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including autism, communication difficulties, sensory processing needs, and physical disabilities. The role involves: • Supporting learning in a highly structured, nurturing environment • Assisting with hoisting and manual handling • Providing personal care • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation • Helping pupils develop communication, social, and life skills • Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and medical professionals No formal education background is required. Experience in care, support work, or working with individuals with additional needs is highly beneficial.
