About the Role You will be teaching a small class of primary-aged pupils with SEND, supported by a team of experienced Teaching Assistants. The role will involve planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons that are practical, engaging and tailored to pupils’ individual learning needs. You will: • Plan and deliver creative, accessible lessons for pupils with a range of SEND needs • Support children with autism, communication needs and sensory processing differences • Use visual supports, structured routines and practical learning opportunities • Work closely with Teaching Assistants to ensure consistency across the classroom • Contribute to EHCP targets, progress tracking and review meetings • Create a calm, safe and encouraging environment where pupils can build confidence and independence What We’re Looking For • QTS / QTLS, or strong teaching experience within SEND • Experience teaching pupils with autism or complex learning needs • Strong behaviour management and excellent classroom structure • Ability to differentiate lessons creatively and effectively • A calm, patient and reflective teaching style • Commitment to a full-time, long-term role from September This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive Havering school where SEND provision is valued and properly resourced.
