SEND Teacher – Primary – Tower Hamlets
£180–£240 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | September Start
Axcis are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets who are seeking a committed SEND Teacher to join their team from September. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, global developmental delay and complex learning needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working in a nurturing primary environment where relationships, structure and creativity are central to learning. The school has a strong SENCO, experienced support staff and a leadership team that values inclusive practice. Located in East London with excellent transport links via Tube, DLR, Overground and local bus routes, it is easily accessible for teachers across London.
About the Role
You will be teaching primary-aged pupils with SEND, delivering lessons that are highly differentiated, practical and engaging. The role will involve working closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO and wider school team to ensure pupils are supported academically, emotionally and socially.
You will:
• Plan and deliver personalised lessons for pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Support pupils with autism, communication needs and developmental delay
• Use visual supports, structured routines and practical learning activities
• Lead and guide Teaching Assistants within the classroom
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement and independence
• Contribute to EHCP targets, progress reviews and parent communication
What We’re Looking For
• QTS / QTLS, or strong SEND teaching experience
• Experience teaching pupils with autism or complex needs
• Confidence delivering differentiated and practical lessons
• Strong classroom management and calm leadership
• Ability to work closely with TAs, SENCOs and families
• Commitment to a full-time, long-term role from September
