Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are looking for compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to join an independent special school in Crosby this September.
The school supports pupils aged 8–16, providing a safe, nurturing environment where young people can rebuild confidence, develop resilience, and engage with meaningful learning tailored to their individual needs.
About the Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils’ individual learning and emotional needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver inclusive and therapeutic learning experiences
• Build positive, trusting relationships to help students feel safe, valued, and understood
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour management using trauma-informed strategies that promote self-awareness, resilience, and respectful interactions
