Teaching Assistant - Challenging Behaviour - St Helens - St Helens - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Axcis Education are currently looking for a highly skilled, calm mannered and experienced teaching assistant to work in a secondary SEMH (social emotional and mental health) unit. In this role you will be based in a class with 8-10 pupils with SEMH and MLD. You will have to be very experienced with challenging behaviour as these pupils are very vulnerable and can exhibit signs of aggressive behaviour.
One of the key skills needed for this role will to be a positive role model for all pupils that you will be supporting. This unit is attached to a mainstream secondary school based in St Helens, is easily accessible by public transport and also has onsite parking. The major benefit of working in this SEMH unit is that you can learn from extremely supportive experienced staff members whilst completing very rewarding work. This role is to start immediately and will be for the duration of the academic year.
