Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Axcis is working with a fantastic primary school in Bristol to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs. This will include supporting children with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and ADHD on a 1:1 basis so experience supporting individuals with similar needs is essential. There may also be occasions where you will be required to work as a general classroom TA so confidence in this role will be key. The school is keen to find someone who is positive, kind and proactive. Working hours for this role are between 8.30 to 3.30 and the daily rate of pay is £93.48. Key Responsibilities include: - Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment that focuses on the wellbeing of the students - Adapting the school work to the needs and academic ability of the individual student you are working with - Effectively minimising and handling meltdowns, outbursts and disruptive behaviour Requirements for this role include a passion for supporting students with SEND, strong communication and written English skills, Right to Work in UK. In order to apply an enhanced DBS on the update service is required, either one you currently have or can apply for as part of the process.
