A mainstream primary school, based in Walthamstow are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to work with a child in year 2, with autism and ADHD. The school is a large primary school, catering to various SEN needs, including pupils who have ADHD, SEMH and global delay. The teaching assistant would be required to support the pupil in year 2 on a 1:1 basis, ensuring they have access to learning and are able to progress at school, as well as be able to manage their behavioural needs, by having set boundaries. Having previous experience with working with children ADHD or autism would be ideal, but not essential. The school are keen to have someone who is able to commit for the full academic year. The position is full time, working from 8am-4pm, from Monday-Friday.
