Job Title: Teaching Assistant, Primary, SEND
Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant in a Small Heath based primary school. The school is based in caters for students aged 5-11years and is accessible via public transport as well as by car with on-site parking available. This vibrant team are looking for another dedicated teaching assistant to join their growing team on a long-term/ongoing basis. The appointed teaching assistant will mainly support within the schools resource hub, working with pupils who have additional needs and challenging behaviours. This is a long-term role starting in September 2025, initially going through to July 2026. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis, with students who have additional needs and challenging behaviours. Due to the school term coming to an end very soon, this position needs to be filled ASAP in order for the the successful candidate to start work on a full-time basis from early September, working 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. As previously mentioned the role will be on a ongoing basis going through to the end of the 2025/26 academic year, with the potential of retuning for the following academic year. The candidate must have experience supporting children with special educational needs and challenging behaviours on a professional or personal basis. School/classroom experience is not essential but would be a big advantage.
