Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEN
Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: January
Location: Mainstream Primary School, Brent
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM
Pay: £85+ experience dependent
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving mainstream school in Brent. Starting in January, this full-time role offers the opportunity to work both within the classroom setting and in our specialist ASD provision, providing one-to-one support to a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support to a student within the ASD provision.
Assist within the classroom setting, adapting tasks to meet the student’s needs.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to ensure consistent support.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for the student.
Monitor and document the student’s progress and adapt strategies as needed.
Requirements:
Prior experience working in a similar role, supporting students with ASD.
Strong understanding of strategies for supporting students with additional needs.
Patient, empathetic, and committed to making a difference.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
