Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are delighted to be continuing to work in close partnership with a specialist school in Yate who support children aged 7-16 with complex learning needs.
This welcoming and supportive school have a very holistic approach to learning where all children thrive and the warm ethos of the school is felt throughout. This well renowned school have excellent facilities, a super senior leadership team and have a range of impressive therapies, interventions to support the children as well as a great forest school!
In addition to complex learning needs, many children are on the Autistic Spectrum, some have ADHD and speech and language difficulties while others may have physical disabilities and can display challenging behaviour and so the ideal candidate will be someone who has previous experience either working in a special school or personal experience with special needs.
The working hours for the support are ideally Monday to Friday 08.30-3.30 however should you be looking for more flexible hours over a part time basis, the school can be accommodating dependant on the situation.
This rewarding role is to start in January 2025 and is to continue on until Easter in the first instance with the strong likelihood of it continuing until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.
The school has a large staff car park as well as great links for those on public transport if you are coming from Bristol for example.
