Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support for a Child with ASD) Location: L22, Sefton Contract Type: Full-Time (Term Time Only) Salary: PAYE, £12.50+ per hour (depending on experience) About the Role Are you passionate about making a positive impact on a child’s life? We’re seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a primary-aged child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is an incredible opportunity to play a vital role in their educational and personal development. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will: Build a strong, supportive relationship with the child to encourage trust and confidence. Adapt learning activities to suit their individual needs, ensuring inclusion and engagement. Promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being. Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to create a nurturing and structured learning environment. What We’re Looking For While no formal qualifications are required, we’re seeking someone who: Is compassionate, patient, and eager to support children with additional needs. Has strong communication skills and can work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals. Ideally has experience (paid or voluntary) supporting children with ASD or additional needs. Whether you’re experienced in education or starting your career in this field, we’d love to hear from you.
