We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with expertise in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) to join the dedicated team at a Post-16 SEND College in Kingston.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
– Support students aged 16 to 18 in small classes of 7 to 10 learners
– Help deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support individual needs and promote independence
– Play a key role in preparing students for adulthood, focusing on life skills and personal development
– Work closely with teaching staff to monitor and evaluate teaching quality and classroom management
– Line manage a team of Learning Support Assistants
– Ensure the safety and welfare of all students, promoting a culture of safeguarding and inclusion
What We’re Looking For
– Specialism in ASD or PMLD
– Recent experience of Outstanding/Good teaching or support in a SEND setting
– A Diploma in Education and Training (or be working towards it) or equivalent qualification
– Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
– A passion for helping young adults achieve independence and reach their full potential
