Job Title: Teaching Assistant
A vibrant and inclusive specialist school in Slough is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September 2025. This long-term role offers steady weekday hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm) and could lead to a permanent position for the right person. The daily rate of pay is from £89 a day (PAYE). The school supports children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, SEMH, Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy and complex medical conditions. No two days are the same, and you'll need to be flexible, as your support may be required across different classes and age groups. You’ll play a key part in helping pupils access their learning and develop confidence, whether you're assisting with classroom tasks, providing one-to-one support, preparing resources, or helping with personal care and therapy sessions. A calm, patient approach is essential, especially when behaviour becomes challenging. The role suits someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, can communicate clearly with children and adults, and is open to learning from a skilled and supportive team. Experience in SEND, education or care is required, and a TA qualification or driving licence is a bonus. If you're ready to make a real impact and want to work in a school where every small step matters, we’d love to hear from you.
