About the Role:
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a dynamic high school setting in the LS9 area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and making a real impact in their education.
You will work closely with teaching staff to assist in the delivery of engaging lessons, support students’ learning both in and out of the classroom and help maintain a positive and inclusive environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in education or SEN support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects
• Work one-to-one or with small groups of students
• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
• Provide support to students with additional needs
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• A genuine interest in working with young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Previous experience in a school or support role (desirable but not essential)
Essential Requirement:
• An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required. Candidates must have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one before starting.
