Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected SEN Primary School in Brent, located near Brondesbury Park. This school has a nurturing environment, excellent new facilities, and an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating. The team are passionate about building strong relationships and providing a safe and inclusive space for all pupils. About the Role -Support a primary-aged pupil with Autism, Complex Need, on a 1:1 and group basis, in line with their EHCP. -Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement personalised interventions. -Use tools such as Makaton and PECS to aid communication and engagement. -Provide personal care where required with sensitivity and dignity. -Encourage the development of social, communication, and life skills. -Monitor and record progress and support wider classroom activities as needed. The Ideal Candidate Will: -Have experience working with children with Autism or other complex needs. -Be confident and competent using Makaton, PECS, or other communication tools. -Be willing and able to provide personal care. -Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. -Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
