Job Title: Teaching Assistant
We are hiring a friendly and dedicated Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Yeovil. This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils with SEND, learning needs, behavioural challenges and social and emotional development. Role Details:
• Location: Yeovil
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Positions: Full-time and part-time
• Pay: £90–95 per day depending on experience and qualifications
• Contract: Temporary with potential to become permanent
Key Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant Role:
• Support pupils in classroom learning and individual goals
• Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with SEND
• Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to enhance learning
Requirements:
• Experience working with children in primary school or SEND setting
• Patient, flexible, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour, and social and emotional development
