Job Title: Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a primary SEMH school in Salisbury. This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils who follow individual timetables and need help building self-esteem, managing behaviour and developing social and emotional skills.
Role Details:
• Location: Salisbury
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Positions: Full-time and part-time
• Pay: £90–95 per day depending on experience and qualifications
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH or SEND needs
• Support pupils with academic work and help them access lessons effectively
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive social skills
• Assist pupils in managing behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and school staff to deliver individual learning plans
Requirements:
• Experience working with children in a SEMH, SEND, or primary school setting
• Patient, flexible and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour and emotional development
