Job Title: Youth Support Worker
Do you have the superpower of turning “meh” into “wow”? Can you create fun, engaging activities that get students excited about learning? Well, have we got the role for you! We’re on the hunt for a Youth Support Worker with a passion for supporting young people who need a little extra help along their educational journey. This isn’t just any old classroom job—this is your chance to make a real impact in an alternative provision setting, where creativity, energy, and a bit of humour go a long way. What’s the Deal? You’ll be working Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 16:00, supporting students who thrive in a more tailored educational setting. From getting stuck in with interactive activities to building relationships based on trust, you'll play a key role in fostering engagement and creating a positive learning environment. What’s in It for You? Competitive Pay: From £83.40 a day. We know—sounds pretty sweet, right? Support & Training: We’ll help you develop your skills and grow professionally. Perks: Because who doesn’t love perks? From consultants who genuinely care to a supportive team in the school environment, you’ll be in great company. Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It): As a Youth Support Worker, you’ll be the secret ingredient in helping students engage, learn, and grow. You’ll spend your days motivating young minds (especially those who need that extra nudge), setting positive goals, and encouraging students to reach for the stars. No pressure, right? You'll also develop to have the creative freedom to craft fun activities that make the classroom feel like an adventure. You’ve got to be the kind of person who can handle a bit of chaos with a smile—after all, it’s not every day you get to shape the future of young people while keeping things lighthearted and fun. Who Are We Looking For? If you’re someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to get students to believe in their own potential, we’d love to meet you. Here’s what you’ll need: Experience: A minimum of 3 months working with young people (preferably those with behavioural challenges). A sports or coaching background would be an added bonus! Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly. Qualities: Patience, empathy, and resilience. If you’ve got those in spades, we’re already impressed. Clearance: A DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to get one). Why Axcis Education? We’re not just about matching candidates to schools—we’re about making sure you get the support, flexibility, and professional development you need. Here’s what we offer: A Team That Has Your Back: From your consultant to your fellow team members, we’ve got a culture of care that’s second to none. Ongoing Development: Access free training, online courses, and webinars to help you stay ahead of the curve. Flexibility: You get to manage your schedule through our app, ensuring work-life balance. Career Growth: We’ll help you take your career to the next level. Plus, we listen to your goals and ambitions. Ready to Join the Fun? If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference in the lives of students, we want to hear from you! Simply reply to this email, or call the Axcis South West and Wales office on 0117 472 2400 and ask for Laura. Let’s chat about how you can make learning a fun and engaging experience!
