Job Title: Youth Worker & Care Workers
Youth Workers & Care Workers - Swindon Axcis are currently recruiting for Youth Workers and/or Care Workers to support vulnerable pupils in across various SEND settings and schools in Swindon. We are an education agency that specialise in special educational needs and disabilities and have work in mainstream, SEND schools, alternative provisions, care homes and PRU's. Job lengths vary depending on what the provision need from one day, to a few days, a few weeks to a whole term long. We particularly want to talk to people who have worked with children or adults who have had SEND, and are unfazed by challenging behaviour and can remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding and resilient. Those trained in Team Teach or MAPA will be at an advantage. Some of the children/adults we support have ADHD, Attachment disorders, SEMH, challenging behaviour and ODD, PMLD, SPLD - plus more. If you are interested in transitioning to teaching assistant work, we work with several schools in Swindon, who are looking for people experienced in challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural disorders. We offer a fantastic refer a friend scheme, great rates of pay £85-£95 and regular work. The hours are typically 830am-330pm. You will be offered training to support you through your own professional development by a confident and professional consultant.
