Job Title: Youth Worker Teaching Assistant
Are you looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker role in Radstock? Do you want meaningful work supporting young people with autism and learning disabilities? We are recruiting a full time Teaching Assistant to support college students aged 16 to 18 within a specialist SEND provision at a well established further education campus in Radstock. The role • Full time, Monday to Friday • 8.30am to 4.30pm • £13.70 per hour • Start ASAP • Permanent after a 16 week settling in period You will support students with autism and learning disabilities in both classroom and practical settings. This is a hands on role where you will help young people build confidence, independence and life skills. This is a unique learning environment. The wider campus offers vocational pathways including: • Mechanical engineering • Construction trades • Animal care Students benefit from modern workshops, specialist facilities and a supportive SEND team focused on personalised learning. Experience with autism or learning disabilities is helpful but not essential.
