Youth Workers & Care Workers - Torfaen Axcis are currently recruiting for Youth Workers and/or Care Workers to support vulnerable pupils in across various ALN settings and schools in Torfaen and surrounding areas. We are an education agency that specialise in special educational needs and disabilities and have work in mainstream, ALN schools, alternative provisions, care homes and PRU's. Job lengths vary depending on what the provision need from one day, to a few days, a few weeks to a whole term long. We particularly want to talk to people who have worked with children or adults who have additional learning needs, and are unfazed by challenging behaviour and can remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding and resilient. Those trained in Team Teach or MAPA will be at an advantage. Some of the children/adults we support have ADHD, Attachment disorders, SEMH, challenging behaviour and ODD, PMLD, SPLD - plus more. We closely work with a lovely special school in Newport, that are seeking workers whom are available part/full time.
