We're working with an amazing highs school based in Burton-on-Trent. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to students with ADHD, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their educational goals. - Implement strategies to manage behaviours effectively, ensuring a harmonious classroom environment conducive to learning. - Collaborate with teachers to customize learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of students with ADHD. - Act as a positive role model, building strong relationships with students, and fostering self-esteem and independence. - Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents to support continuous development. About you: - Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children or young adults with ADHD or similar needs. - An NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent, is highly desirable. - Demonstrable knowledge of ADHD and its impact on learning and behavior. - A resilient and patient approach with the ability to stay calm in challenging situations. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, staff, and parents. - Flexibility and creativity to adapt to various educational settings and student needs.
