Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: From £89 per day (PAYE)

We are currently seeking a resilient and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated Alternative Provision school in West Bromwich. This rewarding role involves supporting young people aged 11–19, many of whom have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, a history of trauma, and display challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting students on a one-to-one or small group basis
• Helping manage behaviour using a calm and positive approach
• Building trusting relationships with students who may have complex backgrounds
• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and encouraging emotional regulation
• Working as part of a supportive and experienced staff team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Be calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
• Have a strong and confident character with a proactive attitude
• Be able to handle physically and emotionally challenging situations
• Show real empathy and patience when working with young people
• Be committed to making a positive impact on students' lives
Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Two recent and relevant references
