Location: Bracknell School: Secondary School Contract: Supply / As and when required Pay: £92.63 per day The Role We are looking for a patient, nurturing and reliable Supply Teaching Assistant to support autistic pupils at a secondary school in Bracknell. This is a flexible opportunity for someone with previous SEND experience who enjoys helping young people feel confident, supported and able to access their learning. The successful candidate will provide individualised support to pupils, helping them engage with lessons, understand instructions and overcome barriers to learning. Key Responsibilities Provide supportive and encouraging assistance to autistic pupils. Help pupils access and engage with classroom learning. Explain tasks and instructions clearly and in a way that suits the individual pupil. Provide reassurance and encouragement where needed. Adapt your communication and approach to meet individual needs. Support pupils to develop confidence and independence. Work positively alongside teachers and other support staff. Help create a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Patient, calm and nurturing. Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND. Ideally experienced working with autistic pupils. Confident explaining concepts and instructions clearly. Able to adapt their communication style to different needs. Positive, reliable and flexible. Comfortable working within a secondary school environment. Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. What We Offer £92.63 per day. Flexible, as-and-when-needed supply work.
