About Us: We are a vibrant primary school dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all our students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Stepney Green, where you will help create a positive learning experience for our SEND learners.
Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with SEND, providing the necessary support to enhance their educational journey. Your role will involve collaborating with teachers and other staff to ensure that all students have the resources they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational programmes for SEND students.
Provide one-on-one and group support to help students engage with their learning.
Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes participation.
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
Foster the development of communication and social skills through targeted activities.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children with SEND is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of special educational needs and effective support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
