Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Hours: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, Full Time, Monday to Friday Salary: Paid to Scale Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational team in Wandsworth, London. This full-time position involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a mainstream classroom setting, fostering both academic and social development. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing tailored educational programs for students with ASD. • Provide one-on-one and group support, facilitating engagement and participation in classroom activities. • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the individual strengths of each student. • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team. • Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure the consistent application of strategies and approaches. • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in ASD support. Qualifications: • Relevant experience in supporting students with ASD is desirable. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning experience.
