Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wandsworth, London. In this full-time role, you will provide essential support to students on the autism spectrum, facilitating their learning and inclusion within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist classroom teachers in the planning and implementation of individualised educational programs for students with ASD.
• Support students during classroom activities, promoting engagement and independence.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, helping students build social skills and confidence.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists and educational psychologists.
• Uphold the school’s policies and procedures to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students’ diverse needs.
• Relevant educational qualifications or training in support roles within the classroom setting.
