Job Title: Autism Experience Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start
We are looking for a caring and confident Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Barnet. This is a full-time role (5 days a week) working closely with a child in Year 2, starting as soon as possible.
The pupil is bright and articulate but has a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP. They will benefit from consistent, supportive, and patient 1:1 guidance. The right person will be able to build a positive relationship, use a calm and structured approach, and help the child to feel secure, engaged, and successful in class.
We are looking for someone who has:
Experience working in schools (primary preferred).
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt learning to individual needs.
A kind, patient, and resilient approach, with clear boundaries.
Experience supporting children with autism or similar needs (desirable).
