Primary Teaching Assistant (ASD Experience) – Camden, NW5 | September Start Primary Teaching Assistant – Autism (ASD) Specialist Location: Camden, NW5 Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden (NW5) is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team committed to delivering outstanding inclusive education. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to provide tailored support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially. The Role Support pupils with ASD within the classroom and during interventions. Deliver structured learning activities following EHCP targets. Promote communication, emotional regulation, and independence. Implement visual timetables, sensory strategies, and positive behaviour support. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience supporting children with ASD in a primary setting. Understanding of autism-friendly teaching strategies. Calm, patient, and nurturing approach. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
