Job Title: Autism Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant (ASD Experience) – Barnet Secondary School
Start: ASAP | Full-time | Axcis Education
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join a welcoming secondary school in Barnet.
This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible. You will be working closely with pupils with ASD, supporting both their learning and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with ASD in lessons and around the school
Assist with classroom activities and individual learning programmes
Support pupils with personal care, as required
Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to ensure positive outcomes for pupils
Promote inclusion and help create a supportive learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting students with ASD
Ability and willingness to assist with personal care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach
Availability to start immediately
