Role: Behaviour Support Worker Location: Pontefract Contract Type: Full Time Rate of Pay: £85.00 - £110.00 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: ASAP A SEND school in Pontefract is currently seeking resilient and dedicated Behaviour Support Staff to join their team on a long-term basis. The school supports a diverse group of learners aged 9 to 16 with Severe Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Many pupils have experienced trauma, so the school is looking for individuals who can demonstrate genuine empathy and patience. While an understanding of or experience working with young people who have faced trauma would be beneficial, it is not essential for this role. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide support and build relationships with pupils, helping them develop a positive attitude towards education in a safe and nurturing environment. Your role will involve encouraging and motivating pupils to engage in all school activities to the best of their abilities, ensuring that every child can reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. If you have relevant experience in the criteria listed above, we encourage you to apply! Flexibility is essential, with availability ideally between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Experience working with children and young people in school or residential settings. We offer competitive daily rates, ranging from £85.00 to £110.00, depending on experience.
