BSL Teaching Assistant – Hearing Impaired Resource Base – Tower Hamlets From £95/day | Primary | Tower Hamlets | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term Axcis are working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets that houses a dedicated Hearing Impaired Resource Base, seeking a compassionate BSL Teaching Assistant (Level 2+) to join their team. The school is praised for its inclusive ethos, outstanding pastoral support, and collaborative approach between teachers and specialist staff. With great transport links nearby and cycle storage on site, it’s easily accessible from across East London. In this role, you will be: • Supporting deaf and hearing-impaired pupils across EYFS to KS2 using BSL and visual aids to enhance learning and communication. • Working alongside Teachers of the Deaf and class teachers to deliver targeted interventions. • Adapting lesson materials and promoting inclusion within the wider school community. • Building confidence and independence in students through positive communication support. What we’re looking for: • A minimum of BSL Level 2 qualification. • Previous experience supporting pupils with hearing impairments in an educational or youth setting. • A patient, empathetic communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
