Job Title: BSL Support Specialist – Primary School Location: North West London Contract: Full-Time / Term-Time A welcoming primary school in North West London is looking for a skilled British Sign Language (BSL) practitioner to support Deaf and hearing-impaired pupils. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in an inclusive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group BSL support for pupils Facilitate communication between pupils, staff, and peers Support access to the curriculum across all subjects Work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and external professionals Promote inclusion, independence, and pupil confidence Requirements: Recognised BSL qualification (Level 2 minimum; Level 3+ preferred) Experience supporting Deaf children in a primary school Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive team and help every child reach their full potential.
