The provision supports KS3 and KS4 pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, many of whom are working towards a successful return to mainstream education. With a committed leadership team, a restorative approach to behaviour, and excellent transport links (as well as free parking on-site), this is a fantastic setting to make a genuine difference. In this role, you will be: • Supporting students in small classes, building strong and trusting relationships to help them re-engage with learning. • Using effective behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches to de-escalate challenging situations and promote positive choices. • Assisting teachers in delivering a tailored curriculum that meets the academic and emotional needs of each student. • Encouraging resilience, self-confidence, and independence, supporting pupils to work towards reintegration into mainstream settings where appropriate. • Collaborating closely with a passionate and skilled staff team dedicated to pupil wellbeing. What we’re looking for: • Previous experience supporting students with SEMH, either in a PRU, alternative provision, or a mainstream school with strong behaviour support responsibilities. • Solid understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation strategies. • A positive, empathetic, and calm approach under pressure. • Mainstream classroom experience is highly desirable, in line with the school’s reintegration ethos.
