**About the Role:**
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Classroom Assistant to join our dynamic educational team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our classroom, providing support to both staff and students with a strong focus on Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual looking to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide one-to-one assistance to students with SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Support the teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons within the EYFS framework to enhance learning experiences for all pupils.
- Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters the intellectual and emotional growth of students.
- Assist in monitoring and supporting the class when the teacher is conducting small group or individual activities.
- Encourage the independence and self-confidence of students through positive reinforcement and targeted support.
- Utilize excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Help manage classroom resources and ensure they are readily available and in good condition.
- Contribute to the school's overall goals by participating in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
- Take on additional responsibilities when necessary, including supporting school events and activities.
**Qualifications and Requirements:**
- Must hold Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in an educational setting, particularly with EYFS, is essential.
- Previous experience of working one-on-one with SEND students.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Punctual, reliable and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- UK based experience as a teaching assistant is necessary to understand the local educational context and curriculum.
