We have a range of flexible part-time or full-time roles available within local schools that could be the perfect fit alongside your university studies. These opportunities are a fantastic way to enhance your CV, gain real-world experience with children who have additional needs, and begin building a professional network within the education and care sector. The Role: We are recruiting for Teaching Assistant positions within Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) settings. You’ll be working closely with individual pupils who benefit from 1:1 support, helping them engage with their learning and day-to-day school activities. Duties include: Supporting students with SEND during lessons and activities. Working alongside teachers to deliver adapted lesson content. Assisting with behaviour regulation and promoting positive routines. Communicating effectively with staff, including the SENCO, to monitor progress. Contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Why This Could Be Right for You: Flexible working pattern to suit your university timetable (2 to 5 days a week). School hours only – ideal for students with part-time availability. Competitive pay and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field. Build relationships with schools that could support your career after graduation. Great stepping stone into educational psychology, teaching, therapy, or social care. We’ve had excellent feedback from both our partner schools and psychology students who’ve taken up these roles – many go on to secure long-term roles or further training as a result. Interested? If you’re enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about helping young people, we’d love to hear from you.
