Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Primary School 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Full Time (NW5) Location: North West London (NW5) Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm Start date: ASAP We are seeking a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Year 2 with complex needs, including ASC. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day, one-to-one support to enable the child to access learning, develop independence and thrive within our school community. Key responsibilities Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a Year 2 pupil with complex needs, including ASC. Support with personal care and tube feeding in line with medical guidance and school protocols. Implement and follow individualised learning and behaviour plans (including ABA approaches where appropriate). Assist the class teacher with adapting resources, classroom support and record keeping. Liaise with therapists, parents and external professionals as required. Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and the pupil’s wellbeing. Person specification Experience of working with primary-age children with additional needs (preferred). ABA training preferred. Comfortable supporting tube feeding and/or willing to undertake required training; previous experience desirable. Patient, reliable, empathetic and a strong team player. Good communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records. Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to undergo). We offer A supportive and inclusive school community.
