Axcis Education are currently seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Skelmersdale and the wider West Lancashire area. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and would like to gain valuable classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future in teaching, experienced support staff looking for a new challenge, or anyone with strong behaviour management skills who is passionate about supporting secondary school pupils. The Opportunity: • Work as a Cover Supervisor across a range of secondary schools • Support students by delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment • £100 – £120 per day (dependent on experience) • Term-time only position • Based in Skelmersdale and West Lancashire • Flexible start dates available • Full-time and part-time opportunities to suit your availability Key Responsibilities: • Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain focused and on task. • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. • Deliver lesson content that has been set by the teacher, without the need for planning or marking. • Provide support to students as required, encouraging positive learning outcomes. • Build strong relationships with staff and pupils to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
