Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant – Autism Support
Are you passionate about supporting young children with Autism during their early years of development? Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in North Bristol to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a full-time, term-time only role, starting mid-January. There is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. About the Role As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism in the Early Years setting. • Implement tailored strategies to support communication, sensory regulation and engagement in learning. • Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and parents to ensure consistent, child-centred support. • Promote confidence, independence and positive social interaction in a safe and nurturing environment. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: • Has experience supporting young children with Autism, ideally within Early Years or a nursery setting. • Is patient, nurturing and creative in their approach to SEND support. • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and families. • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for one.
