Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant - September
Do you have experience working in early years (EYFS) and a genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs? Axcis Education are currently seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Stockport area. In this role, you will be working 1:1 with a pupil in early years who may have ADHD (too early to officially diagnose). You will play a crucial role in helping them navigate their early educational journey, providing tailored support and guidance every step of the way. This role is offered on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm starting September 2024. Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one support to a pupil in their early years who may have ADHD and challenging behaviour • Assist the student in staying engaged and focused during lessons • Create and implement individualised educational plans and strategies • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure consistent support • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for the student's social and emotional development • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teaching team You should have: • Previous experience working with early years (EYFS) in the school setting, preferably within a SEN setting • A deep understanding of ADHD and the challenges it may present • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals The school is looking in arranging trials ASAP, so if you are interested, please apply today.
