Job Title: Experienced Learning Support Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting students with SEND? Axcis Education are looking to recruit an Experienced Learning Support Assistant for a wonderful special needs school in The Forest of Dean for pupils aged 2 to 19 years old. Axcis are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate candidate who can deal with challenging behaviour and has experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. The school has beautiful grounds and encourages the children to take part in growing fruits and vegetables during the summer months. The position is general in-class support - you may be expected to work one to one, in small groups or providing general in-class support as required. Working hours for this role are between 8 am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and the daily rate of pay is £93.48. This role would be ideal for care staff or those with a care background, as personal care and moving and handling students will form part of your duties. Requirements for this role include experience working with individuals with ASD, physical disabilities and severe learning difficulties, strong spoken and written English skills, a passion for supporting students with SEND and an enhanced DBS on the update service.
