A welcoming, community-focused Primary School in Sale is looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant Reception team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum to settle into a supportive, warm environment with excellent long-term career prospects.
Your Main Responsibilities:
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning across all early learning goals.
• Leading small group reading and phonics sessions using the Read Write Inc. programme.
• Setting up stimulating indoor and outdoor learning provisions daily.
• Observing and tracking pupil development, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where children feel secure and eager to learn.
What We Are Looking For:
• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 childcare or education qualification is preferred.
• Proven experience supporting children within an EYFS setting (School, Nursery, or Pre-school).
• A patient, warm, and creative approach to early childhood education.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-player attitude.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
