EYFS Teaching Assistant – SEND Nursery | Chorley | Full-Time & Part-Time | From £92.63 per day Axcis Education is a specialist SEND recruitment agency providing SEND staff to schools for short-term, long-term and temporary-to-permanent roles. We are currently recruiting for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school nursery with a dedicated complex needs room in the Chorley area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant or SEND Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The school has a warm, inclusive environment, and candidates who have previously worked there consistently describe the staff as welcoming, supportive and friendly. The school regularly works with Axcis Education, and many of our placements have gone on to become permanent opportunities. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support children within the nursery's complex needs provision, working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team to provide high-quality support tailored to each child's individual needs. You will help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. To be considered for this role, you will need: • At least 6 months' experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). • If applying from overseas, a minimum of 3 months' UK experience working with children with SEND. • Previous EYFS experience (essential). • EYFS or Teaching Assistant qualifications (highly desirable but not essential). • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and complex needs. • Availability to work between 8:30am and 4:00pm. • Ability to work on a full-time or part-time basis. • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one (Axcis Education can support you with the application process). • The ability to reliably commute to Chorley and the surrounding areas.
