A friendly and supportive primary school in Horwich, Bolton is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team for the 2025/2026 academic year. This role offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers or educational professionals to develop classroom experience, build confidence, and make a positive impact on young learners’ education. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all children can reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils who need extra help Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom organisation Encourage pupil engagement and promote a positive attitude to learning Support classroom behaviour management and uphold school policies Assist children with special educational needs and adapt activities as required Participate in wider school life, including assemblies, trips, and extracurricular activities Requirements: A degree in any subject (minimum 2:2 preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or child development Previous experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential This is a temporary, full-time position for the full academic year, offering a competitive daily rate of £89 to £105 depending on experience and qualifications.
