Do you have the patience, empathy and enthusiasm to make a genuine difference to young people? Axcis Education is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist autism setting in Filton, South Gloucestershire, supporting students aged 5 to 18. Why this Teaching Assistant role? This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting autistic students within a highly personalised learning environment. The school provides academic, emotional, social, sensory and physical learning experiences, with different curriculum pathways designed around individual needs. The most recent Ofsted monitoring visit in September 2025 found that the school had made progress towards necessary improvements, with increasingly calm and orderly classrooms, effective support for students to re-engage with learning, and a comprehensive induction programme for new staff. The school is continuing to develop its curriculum and provision, making this an exciting time to join its team. We are looking for someone who: • Is a recent graduate with a genuine interest in education, SEND or autism • Is warm, patient, resilient and approachable • Builds positive relationships with children and young people • Is willing to learn and respond to individual needs • Has strong values, motivation and a positive attitude • Does not necessarily have previous Teaching Assistant experience You will receive support and induction as you develop your skills, so personality, values and motivation matter more than experience.
