You will join a highly experienced team, that have a wealth of knowledge As a Teaching Assistant you will support pupils in their classes, as well as working in the resource base Working in line with the SEND Code of Practice (2015), you will: • Use evidence-based resources such as Boxall profile or Zones of regulation • Help implement and review behaviour support plans • Use accredited de-escalation strategies- from Team Teach • Be aware of strategies such as emotion coaching and social stories • Support emotional regulation and develop pupils’ social skills • Work closely with class teachers, resource manager and external professionals • Create a safe and supportive environment where pupils can thrive • Help track progress and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) You’ll work in an inclusive and supportive mainstream Secondary school, within a resourced based specialised in meeting the needs of students with ASD (Autism).
