About the Role
Axcis Education is currently seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support a range of welcoming and inclusive local schools across Rochdale and Oldham. These roles are ideal for confident, adaptable professionals who are passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and progress across the curriculum.
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, working both independently and alongside class teachers. Opportunities are available across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with the potential for longer-term placements.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes
• Support planning and contribute to lesson delivery
• Assess, record and report on pupils’ development, progress and attainment
• Provide constructive feedback to pupils and teaching staff
• Support pupils with varying needs, ensuring inclusion and engagement
• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
About You
• The successful candidate will:
• Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience
• Have experience working in primary school settings
• Have a good understanding of current educational issues
• Ideally have experience across both Key Stages
• Be confident, proactive, and committed to raising pupil outcomes
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
